I have been working in the Film Industry as a Lighting Technician and Gaffer for the bulk of my career. But have always taken photographs and felt an affinity with still photography since I was 17. On this website you will see pictures from my early 20’s when film was the standard medium.

The transition to digital took a while for me but now the idea of shooting film seems ridiculous.

The Beaches series on this site has a quality that would be difficult to achieve with film. There is a freedom that is so invigorating. I have retained a stillness because of my years of using just one lens but feel my pictures have a greater scope now to my young self.

My film images were all shot with a standard lens on both my Nikon FM2 and Hasselblad. You can see these in the CTRL project and in my Models and Portraits pages.
